I had my garage floor done in 2020. Over the last couple of years Ryan has come out to fix a few spots. I have a few more repairs needed and he will not return any calls.
BEWARE! This business is hiding from a problem with a garage floor coating they installed. Concrete Coatings of Minnesota (CCOM) installed a coating on my garage floor in late 2024. About a year later, I noticed that the coating is peeling away from the floor, an issue that is covered by CCOM’s warranty.
It has been about two months since I first contacted CCOM to discuss this problem. They won’t even talk to me about it, leaving me on my own to pursue a repair or replacement. What kind of business doesn’t stand behind their own work and refuses to even talk to a customer about a problem with their product?
Work was done well. The follow up was non-existent. Ryan wanted to be paid on the day of completion. Which I mistakenly did. Then he never followed up on the requested business records and insurance information he knows he needs to provide. Despite repeated requests via phone, text, and email.
Concrete Coatings was fantastic for installing our garage floor. Responsive, flexible, and professional, they navigated changing schedules with our home build. Could not recommend Ryan and his team more highly!
We worked with Concrete Coatings in 2021 to finish our garage floor. We were happy with the installation and finish of the project. Unfortunately, we recently discovered a small area of our floor where the coating had flaked off and contacted Concrete Coatings to discuss a possible warranty repair. We have not been able to get our floor inspected or repaired since our initial contact with the office several months ago. We waited a few weeks for their availability and finally had an appointment scheduled 5-6 weeks after our initial call. The day before our appointment, we were asked to reschedule due to weather. On our rescheduled installation date, our appointment came and went without any contact. We have made many phone calls and left messages to try to reschedule, but can't get any response for someone to come look at our floor. We were very happy with the initial work, but our attempts to repair our floor have been extremely frustrating and disappointing.
I worked with Concrete Coatings of Minnesota on two projects. I had them work on our house basement utility room in February of 2023 and they came to work on our garage floor in September of 2024. We are thrilled with the results both times. As you can see from the before photo of our utility room floor, it looked terrible, had cracks, we had done some plumbing work, there was some spalling, and we were considering ripping it out or having a company like Concrete Coatings of Minnesota repair and improve it. Concrete Coatings of Minnesota transformed our utility room with this finish. We didn't like using the room and now we enjoy being in it. They ground down the surface and filled in cracks and repaired the floor before coating it. The end result is amazing. We built a new garage this year but when the garage company poured the slab it got rained on and it didn't look great. I asked Concrete Coatings of Minnesota if they could fix it and you can see the results in the photo--it looks amazing. They again ground it down to improve the surface, fixed joints that weren't done the best, and then coated it. We are thrilled with the garage project as well. Ryan was our contact both times as far coming out for the estimate and talking through the details. He thoroughly explained the process when we first worked with him and he is very articulate and it is clear he has command of the process and you can feel the passion he has for his work when you talk to him. I have worked with a lot of contractors over the years and I put these guys up there with the best of them. If you're looking to improve an indoor space or spruce up a garage, this is a great solution. I highly recommend Concrete Coatings of Minnesota.
We are 24 hours into our new garage floor and rear porch steps, and we are extremely happy. The duo clearly knew what they were doing, getting rid of our 60 year old concrete's many defects, then resurfacing the concrete, and definitely warning us about not doing laundry (right next to the newly finished stairs! I just hadn't thought about it). He was honest with us about what could be fixed and what couldn't be fixed.
